2016 BMW X5 Redesign

The new version of 2016 BMW X5 will be a plug-in hybrid car. It has an electric only driving range of 14 miles before the petrol engine kicks in, making it perfect for driving short distances. This is not just another fast SUV; it offers a great driving experience and the engine sounds are aggressive. It is perfect as a family car with the dynamic capability to be a track car from its performance. This car will be offered in four trims; all with BMW’s adaptive transmission control.

2016 BMW X5 – Major Inspiration:

The body of the 2016 BMW X5 will not be very different from the previous X5. It will have the custom kidney grilles and a 4 door chassis made of steel, aluminum and carbon fiber. At the front, there are LED headlights and fog lights which have a unique design that extends to the sides. There are also air vents below the front bumper and daytime driving lights. A panoramic roof and rain sensing wipers complete the front design. Features at the back consist of LED tail lights and a rear spoiler. Access to the roof rack is via the sides or back and the alloy wheels measure 19 inches with a wheelbase of 115.4 inches.

The interior of the 2016 BMW X5 also doesn’t get many changes as compared to its predecessor. What is noticeable is the new plug-in instrument cluster on the dashboard that consists of an eDrive button which controls the amount of electric intervention. An LED screen has been mounted at the centre for satellite navigation and entertainment that consists of: 9 speakers producing 205 watts, a radio, USB connection, Bluetooth for hands free-calling and manual setting of the dual climate control system. There is enough room in the cabin for 5 passengers and comfort is enhanced by leather-covered seats. The front seats have a heating and cooling mechanism and can be adjusted; the steering wheel has a leather cover and heating too. Standard security features include: child locks and seat anchors, traction control, anti theft alarm system, emergency braking and tire pressure monitoring.
