2016 BMW X4 – Changes and Updates:
The upcoming BMW crossover will be based on the same platform as the X3. In fact, car enthusiasts have touted it as the next generation of X3. Being a new model, it will get some serious changes that will make it a bit different from its predecessor. The car will be broadened and its weight reduced, increasing its cabin space, speed and fuel efficiency.
The front features of a typical BWM crossover will be available in 2016 BMW X4. The kidney grille will appear unique with a few refreshments while headlights will be more functional and energy-saving with a full-LED technology. Looking at the car on the sides, you will notice a roofline resembling that of a coupe. The rear end will carry a blacked-out bumper with exhaust tips well-fixed on it.
The interior of 2016 BMW X4 will be a state-of-the-art one. You can expect leather upholstery and the latest technology on most cabin components. Other materials expected in the cabin include wood and aluminum. The seats will be warmed & ventilated and will have comfortable headrests. The front ones will be equipped with DVD screens to entertain back passengers. On the side of technology, the luxury CUV will get an upgraded iDrive infotainment unit on the center console. This unit will consist of a 6.5-inch display screen, a navigation system and digital controls. The car will also come with tech features such as power sunroof, tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control and a power liftgate. In addition, the car will get connectivity features such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Smartphone integration and USB ports.

2016 BMW X4 – Power Expectations and Rival:
According to the automaker, the new crossover will get two engine options. The standard engine will be a 2.0-liter I4 engine with a capacity of 240 hp and 258 lb-ft. The other engine is expected to be a 3.0-liter I6 capable of generating 309 hp and 465 lb-ft.
Both engines will work with an 8-speed automatic transmission system. With the I6 engine, the 2016 BMW X4 will take 5.2 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. Concerning fuel economy, the 2.0-liter is more fuel-efficient. The car will record 20 mpg city and 28 mpg highway with this engine compared to 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway with the 3.0-liter engine. Moreover on powertrain, we expect reduced CO2 emissions from the BMW crossover.
2016 BMW X4 – Expected MSRP and Availability:
You can expect a starting price of $45,250 from the upcoming X4. Some trim levels like M40i will cost as high as $57,800. You will only be able to purchase the car in the second half of 2016 as this is the time it will be readily available on the market.
